Slumdog Millionaire bagged 10 Oscar nominations at the 81st annual Academy Awards, getting nods for Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay (Simon Beaufoy), Best Director (Danny Boyle [Images]), Best Original Score (A R Rahman), Best Song (Jai Ho and O Saya), Best Sound Editing (Tom Sayers), Best Sound Mixing (Ian Tapp, Richard Pryke and Resul Pookutty), Best Cinematography (Anthony Dod Mantle) and Best Film Editing (Chris Dickens).

India’s music maestro AR Rahman bagging three Oscar nominations for original song and original score, it was a proud moment for India, and looks like the nation is already singing it’s way to the Oscar glory.

Overwhelmed and ecstatic over his nomination, the music idol AR Rahman, in a interview to a news channel said, “I did not think it will get there, it’s unbelievable. God has been really kind. And I have to really thank the prayers of all the people and their good .

7. Achievement in Directing: Danny Boyle

8. Achievement in film editing: Chris Dickens

9. Achievement in original Song: ‘O Saya’

10. Achievement in original Song: ‘Jai Ho’
